Connect Vipps to Kajabi
Accept Norwegian Krone payments for your Kajabi courses using Vipps
If you're selling courses in Norway, Vipps is the payment method your customers expect. CheckoutJoy connects your Vipps account to Kajabi so you can accept payments in Norwegian Krone with automatic course activation.
What You'll Build
A custom checkout page in Kajabi with Vipps as the payment method:
- Accepts payments in Norwegian Krone (NOK)
- Supports one-time payments and subscriptions
- Customers complete payment in the Vipps mobile app
- Automatic course/membership activation after payment
Prerequisites
- A Kajabi account with an existing offer
- An active Vipps merchant account
- A CheckoutJoy account
Step 1: Connect Vipps to CheckoutJoy
- In CheckoutJoy, go to Settings → Payment Methods
- Find Vipps and click Setup
- Enter your Vipps API credentials
- Save the connection
Step 2: Create a CheckoutJoy Product
- Go to Products → Add Product
- Select Kajabi Offer
- Paste your Kajabi offer checkout page link
- Configure Kajabi webhooks (Activation and Deactivation URLs)
- Set pricing in NOK (Norwegian Krone)
- Choose billing type: one-time or subscription
Step 3: Create a Checkout Widget
- Go to Checkouts → Widgets → New Widget
- Select your Kajabi product
- Set your Thank You Page URL
- Under Payment Methods, enable Vipps
- Ensure Phone Number is included in form fields (required for Vipps)
Step 4: Build Your Kajabi Checkout Page
- In Kajabi, create a custom page
- Add your content sections (hero, testimonials, FAQs)
- Add a Custom Code section
- Paste the CheckoutJoy widget embed code
- Save and publish
Payment Flow
- Customer fills in the checkout form (including phone number)
- Clicks to continue payment
- Redirected to Vipps confirmation page
- Receives notification in Vipps mobile app
- Confirms payment with fingerprint/PIN in the app
- Redirected to your thank you page
- Automatically granted access to the Kajabi offer
Verification
After purchase, check in Kajabi under Contacts — the customer should appear with the purchased offer granted.
