How to accept Crypto Payments for your Kajabi courses

We recently added Coinbase Commerce as a supported payment processor, which means that you can now sell your products and courses and accept crypto currencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and many more.

What is Coinbase Commerce

Coinbase Commerce is a crypto payment gateway that enables an easy way to accept crypto currency payments. They provide an easy checkout experience where customers can pay for products using currencies, directly from their Coinbase accounts or any crypto wallet.

At the moment they support these crypto currencies:

  • Bitcoin
  • Ethereum
  • Litecoin
  • Dogecoin
  • USD Coin
  • Dai
  • Bitcoin Cash
  • ApeCoin
  • SHIBA INU
  • Tether

How to sell products using Coinbase

Using CheckoutJoy, you can sell your courses and digital products and accept crypto payments using Coinbase Commerce. This includes any of our supported platforms like Kajabi, Thinkific, Teachable, Kartra - or digital products like ebooks or webinar links using CheckoutJoy’s Digital products.

Our integration ensures that product activation happens automatically once the payment has been confirmed.

To start accepting crypto payments for your courses, all you need is a Coinbase Commerce account and to complete the following easy steps:

  1. Create a CheckoutJoy account and link your Coinbase Commerce account
  2. Import your products from Kajabi, Thinkific, or whichever platform you’re using
  3. Create a checkout page in CheckoutJoy and enable Coinbase as a payment option
  4. Publish and start selling!

On checkout, your customer will be taken to Coinbase Commerce to complete payment. The totals are automatically calculated by Coinbase and the checkout session is valid for 60 minutes after being initiated.

CheckoutJoy waits for confirmation from Coinbase that the payment is completed and then processes the purchase and activates the customer on the platform or sends the digital downloadable product.

Here’s an example of a custom checkout page build in CheckoutJoy that takes the user to a payment page on Coinbase Commerce.

Only once-off payments are possible with crypto payments, so subscription products are not possible when using Coinbase.
