Connect your AI client

Link CheckoutJoy to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or any other MCP client

CheckoutJoy works with any AI client that supports remote MCP servers. Every client connects to the same address:

https://mcp.checkoutjoy.com/mcp

You don't need an API key. After you add the address, your client opens a CheckoutJoy sign-in page. Log in with your normal CheckoutJoy email and password, review the approval screen that names your company and what the client will be allowed to do, and choose Allow.

Add CheckoutJoy to your client

Works in the Claude desktop app and on claude.ai, on a plan that supports connectors.

  1. Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Enter https://mcp.checkoutjoy.com/mcp as the server URL.
  3. Sign in to CheckoutJoy and choose Allow.

If you started from the Connect to Claude button inside CheckoutJoy, the address is filled in for you — you only need to sign in and approve.

Custom MCP servers are added on chatgpt.com, from developer mode. Which plans can add them, and whether write actions are allowed, depends on your ChatGPT plan.

  1. Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Back in Apps & Connectors, choose Create.
  3. Give it a name (for example CheckoutJoy), enter https://mcp.checkoutjoy.com/mcp as the MCP server URL, and choose OAuth as the authentication.
  4. Sign in to CheckoutJoy and choose Allow.

Run:

claude mcp add --transport http checkoutjoy https://mcp.checkoutjoy.com/mcp

Then run /mcp inside Claude Code, pick checkoutjoy and choose Authenticate to sign in to CheckoutJoy.

Open Cursor Settings → MCP → Add new MCP server, or add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "checkoutjoy": {
      "url": "https://mcp.checkoutjoy.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Cursor opens the CheckoutJoy sign-in page the first time it connects.

For GitHub Copilot in VS Code, run MCP: Add Server from the command palette and choose HTTP, or add this to .vscode/mcp.json:

{
  "servers": {
    "checkoutjoy": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://mcp.checkoutjoy.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Start the server from the file or the MCP view, then sign in to CheckoutJoy when prompted. The tools are available in Copilot Chat's agent mode.

Add a remote MCP server with these settings:

  • URL: https://mcp.checkoutjoy.com/mcp
  • Transport: Streamable HTTP
  • Authentication: OAuth — leave client ID and secret empty; the client registers itself

The client must support OAuth for remote MCP servers. Clients that only accept a static API key or only run local (stdio) servers can't connect.

Check it worked

Ask something simple, like "list my coupons" or "how many sales did I have this week?". If it answers with your real data, you're connected.

If the client says it isn't connected or the tools aren't available, see the FAQ.
